Dr. Myriah C. Pahl

Dr. Myriah C. Pahl, PT, DPT, RYT

Physical Therapist, Owner
Pronunciation: “mah-RYE-uh” “paul”
Pronouns: She/Her

I grew up in a one room schoolhouse in the “Quiet Corner” of rural Northeastern Connecticut and moved to New York to attend Eugene Lang College. After graduating with a liberal arts degree and working for several years at non-profits focused on voting rights and spending some time in New York’s vibrant restaurant and wine world I shifted my focus to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I graduated from Hunter College (CUNY)’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2012.

I am deeply passionate about helping people heal with the power of their own bodies. I never cease to be amazed by the transformations that can take place with the care and attention of hands-on physical therapy treatments. For every treatment I focus on combining my expertise with empathy and a soft approach to address my patients’ chronic pain, postural imbalances, and acute injuries and to help explore and resolve physical discomforts. My treatments are designed to be lighthearted and enjoyable.

My focus as a Physical Therapist has been to find every tool I can to help my patients improve the quality of their lives and keep active and adventurous. From manual techniques like myofascial release to yoga and Pilates I have never stopped being curious and learning new and varied techniques to add to my toolkit.

I have taken continuing education courses in Manual Treatment Techniques for Headaches, Myofascial Release, Pelvic Health and Pelvic Floor Treatment, Visceral Mobilization, Sacroiliac Joint and Lumbopelvic Spine Manual Treatment, and Back Education and Training. I hold a certification in Pilates (mat) and am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).

Core Values: Constant curiosity and learning, adventure, and being present in the time I have with the people around me.

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” – George Bernard Shaw

As the owner and lead Physical Therapist at Good Life Physical Therapy I wear a few hats – but the focus of all of it is my desire to help our patients with persistent pain improve their lives.  I created Good Life Physical Therapy and developed my model of care in order to assure that I and the rest of our team have the time and resources to provide high quality treatments – the type of treatment that we all deserve and hope that our friends and family receive. I love that I get to spend time caring for people as a whole and using my unique skillset to improve the lives of the people around me.

When I’m not working I can be found backpacking on the side of remote mountains, thinking about the next elaborate meal I’m going to cook, trying not to fall out of awkward balancing poses in yoga classes, camping, or traveling to places where I can combine any of those passions.  I have developed my language of movement through a lifetime of training and exploration in Yoga, Pilates, trampoline, trapeze, gymnastics, and circus arts.

Patient Testimonials

Myriah is the best! Not only did she help immensely in dealing with my ailment, she is also an absolute pleasure to work with. She is knowledgable, a great listener, and always made me feel comfortable. Couldn’t recommend her services enough!

Dr. Pahl is knowledgeable, professional and extremely pleasant. I came to her with shoulder pain due to an injury and jaw pain (TMJ). After working with Dr. Pahl over the course of just a couple of months I am pain free and have regained mobility in both my shoulder and jaw. She is not only skillful but attentive and caring. My entire experience with her was positive from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Pahl.

Myriah is a knowledgeable, compassionate, joyful physical therapist. From the interesting exercises, she had me do on the facility’s pilates equipment to the streching and massage she gave me, not only does my long-standing back pain continue to improve but I feel overall stronger and in more alignment.
